About Terre:
Terre Bridgham, LMFT, has been focusing on repairing childhood trauma over the last 10 years. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, Terre’s approach includes collaborating with the client, developing a respectful, positive and reciprocal environment to assist her clients in creating a new story.
Terre worked as a professional artist for over 20 years, which ultimately led her in to the field of psychology. She obtained a Masters degree in psychology, with an emphasis on Art Therapy, and began working in the non-profit sector at Family Service Agency of Burbank. Her professional experience has included individuals, couples and families and facilitating groups, deconstructing a variety of issues that get in the way of generating a fulfilling, joyful life path. Terre’s approach is eclectic, creating a safe environment to provide and optimum and compassionate experience for growth and change.
Terre is also a registered Art Therapist, certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) with a focus on attachment and has received Post Induction Training (PIT) from Pia Melody at The Meadows; a model effectively used to explore family of origin patterns, crucial for building the foundations for healing.
Her professional experiences include, residential addiction treatment for adults, residential treatment for at-risk youth, domestic violence programs and as a director of agency programs in the non-profit sector.
In addition, Terre has been published in a collaborative book entitled, Art Therapy and Clinical Neuroscience, demonstrating through case study, the application and benefits of art therapy techniques in the therapeutic process.
Terre focuses on collaborating with her clients to develop trust and compassion, enhancing the experience to support personal integration. The desired outcomes of integration can include, improved relational interactions, both internally and externally. Philosophically, Terre believes people can heal, change attachment styles and create a new life story.
