Trauma Informed Therapy

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” – Carl Jung

Therapists who qualify as “trauma informed,” are therapists who have awareness of different types of traumas and how those traumas will effect a person’s nervous system, coping systems, thinking systems, and emotional system (body-mind-emotion). Our trauma informed therapist’s hold “awareness” of trauma underlying our hypotheses and understanding of clinical dynamics within and outside of the therapy rooms.

We utilize trauma screenings as appropriate, as well as evidence-based culturally responsive assessment and treatment for trauma and mental health symptoms. Our treatment team is aware of and “addresses the interaction of trauma with culture, history, race, gender, location, and language.” (NCTSN.org)
