A note from Nita:
Nita is a licensed psychotherapist practicing in Sherman Oaks for the past two decades. She has worked inpatient hospital programs, drug and alcohol treatment as well as all levels of care (DTX, Residential, PHP, IOP,OP), and treated PTSD, depression, and anxiety in Veterans. She has worked with trauma, addiction recovery and has a passion for helping people recover and thrive by developing coping skills.
She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California Southern University, a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.
As a psychotherapist, it was clear to Nita that nowadays people are seeking a deeper connection when it comes to counseling. Nita enjoys working with people from all walks of life with diverse backgrounds. She has a passion for working with trauma survivors, and those who have dissociative disorders, including veterans and men and women who have been seriously abused. Nita is a compassionate therapist and her goal is to see each person thrive.
Since 1998 part of Nita’s outreach and dedication to helping others includes hosting “Inner Vision,” a weekly radio program in southern California on KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles. The program features interviews and listener calls to discuss health and well being, relationship issues, spirituality, and the social sciences.
