About Julia

Julia Kaluga is a Doctor of Psychology and also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University, CA.Throughout her training, Dr. Kaluga developed a strong interest in Neuropsychology which led her to write a dissertation on the subject of Neuroplasticity (the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization). Dr. Kaluga is educating her patients about this phenomenon and helps them to “rewire” their brains to overcome traumatic experiences and improve their overall mental health.

Dr. Kaluga’s experience includes working as a Psychotherapist in public schools, rehabilitation centers, and private practices. Dr. Kaluga’s private practice “Great Minds Therapy” was established in 2016, in Los Angeles, CA. From January of 2017 Dr. Julia Kaluga also joined Los Angeles Valley College as an adjunct professor of Psychology. October of 2020, Dr. Julia Kaluga joined Trauma and Beyond (Sherman Oaks, CA) as a Primary Therapist. Julia holds degrees as a LMFT, and a LPCC, and is a member of the CAMF, CAADE, and Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology
