About Alyse:
Alyse is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. She brings a compassionate, attuned presence to her work and believes deeply in the healing power of a safe therapeutic relationship. Alyse earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UC Santa Barbara and her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She has spent more than a decade providing therapy across various levels of care, including short-term residential, PHP, and IOP settings.
Prior to joining Trauma and Beyond, Alyse served as the Clinical Program Director of a teen PHP/IOP program for over five years, where she helped build the program from the ground up. In that role, she provided clinical supervision to the program therapists and worked closely with high-acuity teens and their families to learn skills to better navigate emotional challenges, improve communication and build a life worth living.
Alyse specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, family conflict and substance use. She draws from modalities including DBT, CBT, Brainspotting, and Motivational Interviewing. She integrates Brainspotting, a trauma-informed, somatic approach that supports deep processing and healing, with evidence-based practices to meet each client’s needs. At the heart of her work is a deep belief in attunement: meeting each client where they are, honoring their story, and following their lead toward healing. She sees therapy as a collaborative process where clients can reconnect with their strengths and build lives filled with meaning and resilience.
