About Judy

Judy Waters is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a graduate of the unique spiritual psychology master’s program at the University of Santa Monica, as well as a licensed Spiritual Practitioner from the Agape International Spiritual Center.

Judy takes a whole Body / Mind / Spirit approach to helping her clients discover their own original voice, their innate power, creativity and wholeness. Her work centers on inspiring clients to create a foundation of safety and inner strength by working through a process she calls “transformation of identity.” Each of us is a survivor of challenges, traumas and compromises. How we define ourselves from these events can determine the direction of our lives.

Judy has also dedicated her life to helping people survive and even thrive after major life traumas. She’s worked with survivors of domestic violence, veterans with PTSD and people of all ages who are faced with the challenges of drug and alcohol addictions. She is trained in EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Nonviolent Communication, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and centers her work on Attachment Theory. She has also researched many studies on the effect of spirituality on human neurobiology.

Through Judy’s passionate guidance and conviction, clients have discovered previously untapped strengths, healed from abuse, released addictions, unlocked stuck relationships, fallen in love with themselves and others, and even consciously divorced. Judy has volunteered with the Freedom to Choose program which takes containment and communication tools and skills into our maximum security prisons and is a member of The L.O.V.E Foundation which serves homeless youth in Hollywood.

Judy is also a classically-trained actress and dancer and loves helping creatives find their voice and their power.
