About Dr. Jessica:
Jessica Correa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and PSY D. C. soon completing her Doctorate in Psychology with a passion for wellness and supporting whole-person treatment. With over 10 years of experience working as a psychological assistant, therapist, and paraprofessional in various communities, including LGBTQ+, high-level executives, and adoption; her goal is to provide knowledge, effective intervention, and healing.
In her training for her Master’s, she focused on generational, relationship, and attachment trauma. While obtaining licensure, was trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child-Parenting Psychotherapy (CPP) which allowed in-depth work on sexual, physical, and emotional abuse from a psychodynamic perspective for children and adults.
During the completion of her doctorate in Psychology, she continued her studies focused on family dynamics, specifically parenting and transmission of trauma that was psychoanalytically based on a Jungian perspective. She completed training for Pregnancy, Post-Partum Depression, Grief and Loss, and Substance Use with Co-Occurring Disorders.
In the last year, she has completed Brainspotting training focused on mind-body healing and teaching grounding tools. Her approach is warm and direct while combining effective modalities. She will tailor dialog and treatment plans to meet your unique and specific needs, partnering emotional work with appropriate psychoeducation.
