About Leslee :

Leslee Cooke has been working as a body mind psychotherapist for over 38 years. Integrating a variety of gentle, evidence-based body mind therapeutic modalities, and grounded in the latest neurobiological research, Leslee creates a safe environment for clients in the present moment to explore their issues providing deeper and more effective healing than is possible through traditional talk therapy. Leslee’s approach affords clients a greater capacity for reconnection to themselves and others while learning how to re-regulate their nervous system. Leslee offers therapy for individuals, couples, those suffering with anxiety, early developmental trauma, PTSD, addiction recovery, attachment and relational disorders, mood disorders, dual diagnosis issues, self-harming behaviors and grief counseling.

Leslee is certified in EMDR. She’s a certified somatic experiencing practitioner. She has extensively trained with Kathy Kain and Steve Terrell in therapeutic Trauma Touch. Leslee was certified by Dr. Larry Heller as a practitioner in the NeuroAffective relational model of psychology (NARM). She was certified by Aline LaPiere in NeuroAffective touch. These 21st-century modalities gently integrating the life force of the body, brain and nervous system, are exquisitely effective in healing early developmental attachment ruptures. While working in private practice Leslee also worked with leading addiction treatment programs including, Promises Drug Rehab and Treatment Center in Malibu and Malibu Life Recovery, Drug Treatment Center. Leslee received her BA and MA from California state University Northridge. Leslee became a licensed marriage family therapist in 1978. Leslee was chosen by Pierce College in 1978 to be the first counselor for deaf students in the California State community college system. Leslee is certified in EMDR.
