Dynamic Attachment Re-Patterning Experience (DARe)
Eating Disorder specialist
A note from Amy:
I received my mater’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. I have worked in the mental health field, specializing in eating disorders and substance abuse in both residential and outpatient settings, since 2006. I have also received specialized training in working with complex trauma through my work with Dynamic Attachment Re-Patterning Experience (DARe, trained by Dr. Diane Poole Heller), and training in EMDR, DBT, CBT, Mindfulness, and Relational Psychotherapy. I value the way therapy supports and empowers people to navigate the complex and sometimes confusing journey of the human experience. By exploring and transforming thought and behavior patters that restrict fulness of being, one is give the opportunity to restore joy, confidence and authenticity; ultimately approaching life with more purpose, awareness and direction! My role includes facilitating individual, group and family therapy as well as supporting clients through challenges around distress tolerance and emotion regulation. I also work closely with clients to have the best treatment experience possible, targeting your specific needs in relation to beginning treamtent and feeling companioned and supported the entire way.
