A Thorough Assessment
From there, we’ll put you into our process for assessing and evaluating patients. We’ll schedule an appointment with you where you’ll come into the offices to meet with a therapist. There, we’ll sit down with you to learn everything we can about you and share with you what we offer here at Trauma and Beyond ®. This process allows us to make the best, most individualized treatment plan. Your plan won’t be exactly like anyone else’s, as there’s no one exactly like you. Utilizing therapies that will address not only the depression we will treat the underlying trauma that so often is the cause for symptoms of depression.
Our treatment can take many different forms. We’ll give you our honest, informed opinion about what’s right for you. For example, patients may be recommended outpatient therapy or the intensive outpatient program or partial/day treatment. This could include individual sessions weekly, or even multiple sessions a week. Treatment may include individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy and/or family therapy. When we find what’s right for you, we’ll work with you to make sure that it’s tailored for your needs.
While many of our patients needs will be best met by individual therapy, there are also a multitude of treatment methods to choose from. And certain issues require different kinds of treatment method. That’s why we’ve assembled a team of therapists that has experience with many different types of therapies: it enables us to treat more people in the best way for them. All of our therapists are trained in a variety of trauma informed modalities that can become part of your treatment plan.In addition to affect regulation therapy, attachment focused therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and cognitive behavioral therapy, we also offer affect art therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, mindfulness therapy and more.
