TWO NEW GROUPS STARTING FOR FALL 2019

Resiliency Group

Tuesdays at 6 pm starting September 3, 2019

Led by Rabbi Dr. Arielle Hanien, Psy.D., SEP

Resilience can be defined as the ability to bounce back, to heal or to adapt in a healthy way. This  growth promoting group will focus on key elements involved in fostering resiliency through skill building while  growing the capacity to self and co-regulate while increasing embodiment and mindfulness.  The group venue allows members to notice and process the daily use of tools that enhance self -connection and vitality in a safe environment.   Resiliency groups draws from Somatic Experiencing as well spirituality in order to provide a gentle way to process the journey of healing.


Sensorimotor and DBT Group Informed Trauma Skills Group

Thursday’s at 4:00 pm, starting August 28, 2019

Led by Clyde Blair, LMFT

This group group will focus on mindfulness and development of body based resources, using DBT oriented skillful means for addressing triggers and emotional regulation skills. Includes processing and support for real-world Issues. 10 week series.


Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy

Tuesdays at 2 pm.

Led by Celeste Mendelsohn,  ERYT500.

This group will focus on supporting clients to reconnect to felt sense, using breath and movement towards regulation and increased resilience, using yoga, meditation, and breath.


Women’s Empowerment Group

Thursdays at 6:00 pm.

Led by Patti Milberg, LMFT

Join a group of other women who are seeking to find their true voice as they face life transitions (adult children, aging parents, self-identity, relationships, career changes, etc.). This a safe and healing place to share feelings, ask questions, explore new ideas and consider new choices.

Through talking, writing, reading, laughter and more we will build self-awareness and support with other women in order to heal and gain new tools for living!


Mindfulness and Somatic/DBT Informed Trauma Skills Group

Fridays at 10 am or Fridays at 1 pm

Led by Clyde Blair, LMFT

This group is designed to specifically assist individuals in better managing behaviors, emotions, and thoughts while working with day-to-day challenges and applying DBT skills. Focus on self-compassion and the development of the four modules of Dialectic Behavior Therapy, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. 10 week series.


CO-ED TRAUMA SKILLS GROUP FOR INCREASING EMOTIONAL REGULATION

Group Starting TBA

TRAUMA SKILLS group focuses on supporting clients towards integration of emotions, sensations, and thoughts. Clients will be provided psychoeducation on the physiological responses to trauma along with how the brain and feelings learn to handle trauma. Skills building exercises will lead towards the achievement of a greater capacity for self-soothing, connection, healthy relationship with anger, and expression of needs. This will be cultivated through mindfulness practices, resource building, and group support. The group’s containing and grounded environment will encourage curiosity about self and relationship to others.
